_the blue light was my baby, and the red light was my mind"
12x24
Acrylic on canvas
The Rolling Stones have a song called 'Love in Vain' and a lyric, "well the blue light was my baby, and the red light was my mind" .. this work uses a centralized anonymous woman who is the 'baby' between the blue and red lights. Its a moody correspondence to someone leaving you and the dreamy memory of looking back on who or what they were in that place and time. It's tied to music to love to friendship to desire to longing and to letting go and moving on.
